We all scream for ice cream, especially the fun flavors of Ben & Jerry’s. In June 2010, Ben & Jerry’s introduced two new ‘screams of appreciation’ to recognize volunteers and promote local volunteerism.

These limited-edition flavors, cleverly named Brownie Chew Gooder and Berry Voluntary, will be available exclusively at Target stores through 2010 though the “Scoop it Forward” campaign.  Interested ice cream eaters, visit www.VolunteerMatch.org/scoopitforward to find local volunteer opportunities, and once registered for an activity, forward it to five friends. Voila! You and your friends will receive a coupon for a free pint of Ben & Jerry’s ice cream, redeemable at Target stores, while supplies last. Did we mention, free ice cream??!! Helllooo!!

Both Target and Ben & Jerry’s have a long history of volunteerism, employee engagement and corporate generosity through their Foundations and community grant-making.  “Scoop it Forward” is the latest way they’re bringing it to life.

So, when you hear any screams for ice cream, visit Target, find the Ben & Jerry’s and help do nice things in a neighborhood near you. Yummy.

Thelma says…here’s the scoop:

“It’s never too late to give a lick and get involved.”
